New York Harbor – A Timeless Voyage
This watercolor painting is my interpretation of a historic moment in New York Harbor, inspired by a black-and-white photograph from the 1950s. I wanted to capture not just the physical presence of the ship and skyline, but the mood, the atmosphere, and the quiet grandeur of an era long past.
Using a limited palette of grays and blues, I emphasized the misty ambiance that softens the rigid architecture of the city, making the Chrysler Building and surrounding skyscrapers feel like distant memories rather than static structures. The ship, with its bold smokestacks and intricate rigging, becomes the heart of the composition—standing strong yet enveloped by the shifting haze of time.
Through loose, expressive brushstrokes and controlled washes, I aimed to strip away unnecessary detail while preserving the essence of movement and nostalgia. This piece is not just about a ship or a skyline; it’s about the intersection of past and present, industry and artistry, permanence and impermanence. It’s a reflection of my artistic journey—rooted in history but always looking ahead.
The Keys of Heaven
This drawing, executed in colored pencil, is a reinterpretation of a classical masterpiece, capturing the solemnity and grandeur of a pivotal biblical moment. Inspired by the works of the Old Masters, I focused on preserving the dramatic lighting, expressive faces, and rich fabric textures while adding my own artistic touch to the composition.
The contrast between warm and cool tones enhances the divine presence of Christ, as he bestows the keys upon Saint Peter—a symbolic act of trust and authority. The folds of the garments, meticulously rendered, convey movement and weight, while the deep background creates a sense of mystery and depth.
By working in colored pencil, I sought to push the medium beyond its traditional use, achieving a painterly effect with intricate layering and blending. This piece is not just a study of technique; it is an exploration of faith, leadership, and artistic devotion.
Ethereal Equine

This piece explores the power of light and shadow through a minimalist yet expressive approach. Using white pencil on black paper, I sought to capture the essence of a horse—not just its form, but its spirit, elegance, and quiet strength.
The stark contrast highlights the contours of the horse’s face, evoking a sense of mystery and grace. The delicate strokes suggest movement, while the deep black background enhances the drama, making the illuminated areas feel even more alive and ethereal.
This drawing is a study of light, a reflection of how even in darkness, beauty and resilience shine through—just as in life, where challenges shape strength and character.
Family in Blue
This ballpoint pen drawing captures a moment of warmth and connection, showcasing the power of simplicity in portraiture. Using only a monochromatic blue palette, I focused on achieving depth, texture, and expression, emphasizing the individuality of each subject while maintaining harmony across the composition.
The challenge of working with ballpoint pen—where every line is permanent—required precision, patience, and confidence in every stroke. The balance between detailed rendering and unfinished elements creates a dynamic contrast, symbolizing the idea that every portrait is a work in progress, much like life itself.
This piece is a study in emotion, light, and form, blending technical skill with a personal storytelling approach.
Veil of the Highlands
This photograph encapsulates the ethereal beauty of Kabul’s rugged terrain, where layers of mountains fade into the mist like memories lost in time. The soft haze blankets the city, blurring the boundaries between nature and civilization. The antennas perched atop the hills stand as silent witnesses to history, resilience, and transformation.
For me, this image is a testament to endurance—both of the land and the people who call it home. The mist may obscure the present, but beyond it lies clarity, strength, and the promise of a new day.

The Machine That Built a Dream
This CNC machine was a game-changer. Built entirely from scratch, it enabled me to fabricate precise components for Simurgh, Afghanistan’s first supercar. With limited resources, I engineered solutions on my own—designing, welding, assembling, and programming every part to achieve high-precision cuts.
More than just a machine, it represents innovation against the odds. In a place where advanced manufacturing was nearly nonexistent, it pushed the boundaries of what was possible. Every part it produced carried the spirit of perseverance, proving that creativity and determination can overcome any limitation.
Precision Beyond Limits
With a custom-built CNC machine, we replicated the complex front end of the 2018 Ford GT, proving that high-precision fabrication was possible even with limited resources. This experiment demonstrated our capabilities and pushed the boundaries of automotive craftsmanship.
